Bucks County High School Students Plan Civil Rights Rally

Students at Central Bucks High School West plan to rally with racial justice advocates after a KKK flier was found near a home close to the school.

Students from a Bucks County school plan to show community solidarity after a Ku Klux Klan flier was found near a home.

WCAU-TV reports that students at Central Bucks High School West will join the advocacy group Showing Up for Racial Justice to hold a rally Monday. SURJ is a national grassroots organization that focuses on mobilizing white allies for civil rights causes.

Leaders of the rally say they will walk through Doylestown from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with signs encouraging racial justice and peace. Organizers also invited local businesses to participate by hanging signs that read, "Love Not Hate Makes Doylestown Great" in their storefronts.

Police say they are investigating the KKK flier, which was discovered on Friday.
