Cruz To Visit Gateway High School Saturday

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz will make his first Pittsburgh stump Saturday in Monroeville.

Cruz will stop by Gateway High School for a rally at 10 a.m. Doors open to the public at 9 a.m.

Earlier this week, fellow Republican candidate John Kasich stopped to meet with a crowd of around 100 in Market Square for a lunchtime stump at the Oyster House. Republican candidate Donald Trump made an April 13 stop at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, where supporters and protesters clogged 10th Avenue for hours.

Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders also stopped at the convention center, drawing a crowd of around 8,500 on March 31, while Hillary Clinton spoke to roughly 2,000 supporters at Carnegie Mellon University on April 6. 

Pittsburgh's primar is April 26.
