Donuts, Pierogies And Robots: Social Club September 18

    Even with the fire alarm going, Josh and Rachel are DETERMINED to bring you all things social going on in Pittsburgh. They are so brave.

Carnegie Science Center21+ Night- Robots is happening Friday, September 18th.  Learn about all things robotic, check out some of the most famous robots around, see the Omnimax theater, listen to live music and enjoy some great food. The Omnimax will be showing the film ROBOTS. It’s only $10!

Rivers of Steel Hard Hat Ball is going on Friday, September 18th.  The event will take place at Carrie’s Furnace and benefits it as well.  The event will feature food, dancing and best of all, it's casual! 

Pierogi Fest will be held Saturday, September 19th at Stage AE. Over 30 pierogi vendors will be on hand including Gosia’s Pierogies, Braddock’s Pittsburgh Brasserie, and Franktuary!

Come out and Play Pittsburgh is going on Friday and Saturday at Schenley Plaza. Come down for treasure hunts, puzzles and more.  Video games, late night squirt gun fight and a crazy game of Capture the Flag will be available, all so you can relive your childhood with tons of fun games!

It is also time for Oktoberfest. First off, Saturday, September 19th, Oktoberfest at Hotel Monaco’s Biergarten. Get their delicious pretzels, games, a keepsake stein and edible souvenirs. September 18th-20th, Oktoberfest is at Penn Brewery. Come on down to enjoy their German food and new beers!

You know what will go well with all that beer? Donuts. Donut Dash is exactly what it sounds like.  Eat lots of doughnuts and run them off in the Donut Dash. Register herefor the race October 4th

Last but not least, we got Thrival. It kicks off Monday, Sept. 20. Josh Raulerson is leading a panel discussion on cyborgs and policy implications, and there is the launch event for a brand new podcast, produced by Josh and 90.5 WESA, called Nanograms. But unfortunately, it is sold out.  Thrival will be filled with tons of interesting sessions, so go out and learn something new! A music festival will follow next weekend. There is something for everyone!
