The Farmer’s Table is a farm dinner event series. Chef and Owner Jacob Mains works with specifically chosen host farms based on their farming practices, quality of produce and scenery.

A plated five-course meal is served fresh from their mobile kitchen featuring sustainable local cuisine, fresh linens and creative arrangements in the most ideal location on the farm. The tables may be under the cover of a tent, pavilion or barn depending on the weather forecast and available facilities.

What can you tell me about Chef Jacob Mains?

Chef Mains is very passionate about local sustainable cuisine. Chef Jacob apprenticed with the talented Chef Doug Genovese, focusing on the source of products, additives, growing methods and other factors effecting food quality. Once fully immersed in the Pittsburgh farmers’ market scene, Chef Jacob was able to focus his attention on seeking out the purest produce the area had to offer. He established The Farmer’s Table, LLC in 2013.
