Red, White and Brew: Social Club May 22

May 21, 2015

Kick off your long weekend and get summer started at the Bakery Square Summer Kick Off on Friday. The free event is from 5-9PM at Bakery Square in East Liberty and will have live music, food trucks and drinks to enjoy.

On Saturday, TEDx Pittsburgh will have its annual conference “Bridges” on all things tech at the Byham Theater. Tech savvy Pittsburghers like Gabrielle Bonesso and Dr. Jim Withers will talk about the latest technology in Pittsburgh and around the country.

In the mood for some good food and local brews? Brew Gentlemen and Grist House Brewing are celebrating their first anniversaries this weekend. Brew Gentlemen will have a weekend-long celebration, with Blowfish BBQ and Dirty Dog Cigars on Friday night and food from PGH Taco Truck and Gyros N’at served on Saturday.

Grist House Brewing is also celebrating its first anniversary this weekend. The brewery is pairing with the PGH Pierogi truck on Saturday and the bizarro grill on Sunday. There will be live music and local brews on tap all weekend. Guests with dogs can bring their four-legged friends to their large porch, which is dog friendly.

The best place for firework fanatics to visit on Memorial Day Weekend is Pyrofest, which includes fireworks, live music, and food. PyroFest will be held Friday and on Saturday at Coopers Lake in Butler.
