Mayor's Night On-Air: A Forum on Community/Police Relations

Mayor Bill Peduto, Acting Police Chief Cameron McLay, former police officer Sheldon Williams and Brandi Fisher, president of Alliance for Police Accountability, will be panelists for a special live broadcast community forum hosted by Essential Pittsburgh's Paul Guggenheimer.

Keystone Crossroads Holds Statewide Town Hall Meetings

On Tuesday evening, the third Keystone Crossroads community forum will be held at the Community Broadcast center on the South Side. Titled, “Rust or Revival: Which Way is Our Town Heading?" these evenings are all about community engagement.

Similar forums have been held in Philadelphia and Harrisburg with the goal of parsing out our community problems and potential solutions.

A Community Forum on the Education Achievement Gap

On October 29 as part of our Life of Learning Initiative, 90.5 WESA will host a community forum featuring a panel of experts to address the problem of Pittsburgh’s educational achievement gap.

Kevin Gavin is the Executive Producer for Special News Projects and says much of the forum will be devoted to exploring contributing factors to the gap.
