Get ready to immerse yourself in Pittsburgh's vibrant creative economy with Rhythm & Threads on April 12. This unique event will transform South Craig Street in Oakland into a bustling hub of artistic expression, sustainable practices, and social justice advocacy.

In collaboration with the Pittsburgh Innovation District and 1Hood Media, Rhythm & Threads will showcase the city's rich artistic talent and innovation. From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., around 50 vendors will line South Craig Street, offering an eclectic mix of products from thrifters, designers, jewelers, and craftspeople.

Meanwhile, at the intersection of Winthrop Street and South Craig Street, Rhythm & Threads and Collab Arts will host “Eco-Village”, which will be a fusion of sustainability and street culture, where art meets activism in a vibrant celebration of up-cycled creativity. In this space, sustainability advocates will be available for attendees to learn about sustainable fashion and design. The Eco-Village will also host programming throughout the entire event:

● 12 to 2 p.m. - Skateboarding Competition

● 2 to 4 p.m. - Graffiti Art and Dance Cypher sponsored by Level Up Studios and Collab Arts

● 4 to 6 p.m. - DJ Social QRX and MC NLS Ron will lead an open-mic session featuring 15 of Pittsburgh’s local hip-hop and R&B artists. This session will end with a 30-minute headlining performance by Livefromthecity.
