Ayesha Rascoe is a White House correspondent for NPR. She is currently covering her third presidential administration. On Thursday in Rome, Italy's foreign ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador, demanding the immediate release of Italian reporter Cecilia Sala from Iran's notorious Evin prison.
Keleti, who was also a Holocaust survivor, was hospitalized in critical condition with pneumonia on Dec. 25. She died Thursday morning in Budapest, the Hungarian state news agency reported.
