Independent filmmaker and Pittsburgher Julie Sokolow first met David Matthews hanging out in coffee shops and around town. Eventually he found her on Facebook and messaged her, suggesting she make a movie about him.
So she did.
"Aspie Seeks Love" follows Matthews as he searches for love and professional success in his late 40s, after a late-in-life Asperger's diagnosis. Last month the film's Pittsburgh debut sold out, but the documentary returns for a run at the Harris Theater this Saturday.
"Aspie Seeks Love" will be playing at the Harris Theater downtown from April 25-29.
