Social Club Is Coming...: Social Club April 22

Yes, ‘Game of Thrones’ returns this weekend and we know you are excited. But that isn’t until Sunday night, so that means you can go out and explore the city (and get off your couch) all weekend long. There is a ton going on and WESA’s Josh and Sarah and Yelp Pittsburgh’s Rachel are here to talk you through it.

This Friday is April Night Market with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and the Gallery Crawl. We got decent weather folks, so come down and explore. Enjoy a night of art, games, food, music and more!

Celebrate Earth Day with a Solar Powered Food Truck festival this Friday. Head on down to the Convention Center and enjoy food from trucks that will run solely on solar power. While you are there, head over to Mellon Square for a lunchtime Bluegrass Concert featuring local bluegrass bands, food vendors and more.

Continue your Earth Day celebration in Frick Park this weekend. Enjoy campfires, nature walks, hikes and more! This three-day celebration is the perfect way to honor International Earth Day.

This Friday, Assemble is holding its first 21+ night called “Spring Bling.” Create eco-friendly wearables and learn from the Assemble teachers. There will be drinks and food from Randita’s food truck as well! Yum!

Feeling like you need some ‘Game of Thrones’ in your life to get you to Sunday? Mt. Lebanon Public Library is hosting Game of Thornes: An Evening in Westeros this Friday starting at 7pm. Celebrate the show with medieval music, food, wine and mead tastings. You can also debate back and forth about the fate of a very important character…(we say alive).

Full Time Pittsburgh starts this week. It is a five day, city wide collection of events created by different groups to promote all that Pittsburgh has to offer. Join them for The Commonwealth Press Beer Barge, A Monster Movie fest at Row House Cinema and so much more. Seriously, the list is endless.

Pedal Pale Ale Keg Ride is this Saturday with East End Brewing Company. You don’t need to be Lance Armstrong to do this. Register and East End Brewing will let you know the SECRET location for this ride. Then drink after. Because you deserve it.

Oysterfest is this Saturday under the Homestead Grays Bridge. Enjoy west coast oysters from Rogue Farms, live music, food trucks, cocktails and more!

Ka-Blam! 2016- “Cause-Play”: A Masquerade Fundraiser for the ToonSeum is this Saturday. Dress up and have a great time while you enjoy an event that benefits ToonSeum. The honorary chair this year is Braddock Mayor John Fetterman and his wife Gisele.

Designer Discard is this Sunday at the CWP warehouse. Browse and shop handmade designs, vintage items and second hand goods. It’s spring now, so you are going to need a new closet anyway (we are always here to help you think of excuses to shop).

Okay. Now you can go watch ‘Game of Thrones.’
