Roster locks and hopefuls alike will be on-hand Monday morning at the Pittsburgh Pirates' Pirate City training facility in Bradenton, Fla. as the team begins full-team training sessions.
Pitchers and catchers reported last Wednesday.
Among the 27 non-roster invitees on-hand for this year's spring training are pitcher Tanner Rainey, who won a World Series in 2019 with the Washington Nationals and saw action in four World Series games, and pitcher Yohan Ramirez, who appeared in 48 games with the Pirates in 2022 and 2023.
The Pirates' first actual spring training game takes place Saturday in Sarasota, Fla. versus the Baltimore Orioles, before returning "home" to Bradenton on Sunday to host the Minnesota Twins at LECOM Park.
LECOM Park is the oldest ballpark used for spring training, and the third oldest park used by a Major League Baseball team, overall, behind only Fenway Park in Boston and Wrigley Field in Chicago.
