The Woodland Hills school board abruptly fired its superintendent Wednesday night. The board voted 8-1 to remove James Harris without cause. Board members did not say what prompted the termination. Several parents spoke in support of Harris and many noted their frustration that the public wasn’t given notice. Wednesday was also the last meeting for three outgoing board members. Harris was hired in 2018 and his last day will be December 17.
