The sentencing of former Attorney General Kathleen Kane on felony perjury charges leads our look at this week’s news stories. Kathleen Kane Goes to Jail
Former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane was sentenced to a 10-23 month jail term on Monday and her 15-year-old son, Chris, pleaded for leniency while her former deputies described a demoralized office, according to the Associated Press. She was also sentenced to eight years probation. We’ll look at the sentencing of Kane, once viewed as a rising star in Democratic Party, with State Impact Reporter Katie Colaneri. Also taking part in the conversation is Pitt Law Professor David Harris who hosts the Criminal Injustice podcast.
Legislative Wrap-up
Wednesday was the final day of the legislative session. Among the issues addressed was an overhaul of the public pension system. Joining us with a legislative wrap-up are WESA reporter Katie Meyer and Karen Langley, Harrisburg bureau chief for the Post-Gazette.

Despite the stream of positive news about Pittsburgh’s renaissance, the city falls behind the state and nation on some important economic indicators. What are they?
