After more than two decades, the Pirates will finally play in the post-season.

Travel contributor Elaine Labalme shares her favorite hangouts in potential Pirates playoff cities.

Los Angeles Dodgers- While in L.A., stop by the Original Pantry Café and order their plain pancakes. No syrup required, according to Lablame. She claims they’re the “best pancakes in America!”

Atlanta Braves – Take the CNN tour while in this southern city and stop by the Coca Cola factory.

St. Louis Cardinals – Stay at the Regency downtown. The hotel is four blocks from the stadium and faces the Gateway Arch.

Cincinnati – Metropole has been nominated one of the 50 best new restaurants by Bon Appetit

Because some of the locations are far and perhaps new to many Bucco’s fans, Labalme says to plan as much as possible in advance including parking, transportation and hotel reservations. She adds, “if you need to see something on the fly, I would say drive.”
