Allegheny County Police said Tuesday afternoon that a juvenile will be charged in connection with a drive-by shooting that preceded the death of 17-year-old Antwon Rose last week.

The suspect is believed to have been with Rose in the car, which police say matched the description of the one used in the drive-by. The driver, a 20-year-old jitney driver, was interviewed by police last week and released.

The car was pulled over by East Pittsburgh Officer Michael Rosfeld last Tuesday.

While the car was stopped, Rose and a second passenger fled. A video taken from a nearby house shows them running from the car, before Rose was shot by Rosfeld.

The juvenile, who has not been named, was picked up on separate charges, county police said. It's unclear when they'll be charged in connection with the drive-by.

Rose's death has sparked days of protests, including one that halted morning traffic in downtown Pittsburgh Tuesday.

Loved ones said goodbye to Rose Monday during his funeral, which drew hundreds. He was remembered as a "respectful kid."
