Thirty-two years after retiring, Steelers legend Mean Joe Greene’s number 75 will be retired this coming Sunday.
We’ll address the significance of this coming event and what it means for the Steelers organization with Gary Pomerantz, author of the book "Their Life’s Work: the Brotherhood of the 1970’s Pittsburgh Steelers."
"He was that important, he was that central to what the Steelers became. It is certainly true that the Steelers had eight other hall of famers who played during the 1970's , but Joe Greene was not only the foundational piece, he was the sheriff of the county… Joe was always about the team. "
