Black musicians in Pittsburgh weigh in on the artists who inspired them

For Black History Month, Pittsburgh’s independent music station 91.3 WYEP interviewed local Black musicians about the artists who inspired them. 90.5 WESA’s Priyanka Tewari spoke with WYEP morning host Joey Spehar to learn about Pittsburgh artists’ favorite artists.

Priyanka Tewari is a native of New Delhi, India. She moved to the United States with her family in the late 1990s, after living in Russia and the United Kingdom. She is a graduate of Cornell University with a master’s from Hunter College, CUNY.
