Last September marked the centennial of the founding of the Veterans of Foreign Wars here in Pittsburgh. Over 12,000 delegates, dignitaries and guests will be in the city for the VFW’s annual national convention this weekend. Senior Vice Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John A. Biedrzycki, Jr., a Pittsburgher chosen to become the organization's new national commander, addressed the work done by the VFW.
